Homemade pickles - there's really nothing better. Sweet or dill, you'll need plenty of pickling cucumbers. A pickling variety that can provide those cukes in abundance is Homemade Pickles. This variety was selected for home gardening and home pickling. Plants are vigorous with excellent fruit set and yield. Fruit are medium green with small white spines and can be harvested 1.5 inches long for tiny sweets to 5 or 6 inches long for giant dills or spears. This variety is ready for harvest about 56 days after plants emerge and continues to set for some time. The fruit are solid and crisp, just perfect for the best pickles you've ever made!
