Serrano del Sol is the first hybrid serrano from Seminis Garden. It is earlier, more uniform, and more prolific than the op versions. Serrano del Sol fruit measure 3" by .5" and mature from green to red. They are tradiotionally used green and have a more refined flavor than Jalapenos, but can be served in the same way (think nachos, salsa, or chili). The cylindrical fruit are dark green, thick-walled and meausre in at about 4,500-5,500 scoville units. Plants are tall (about 30 ") and prolific, ready for harvest in about 65 days.
