Jamboree is an especially decorative pumpkin with a unique gray-blue-green exterior and a flattened bottom . It is beautiful for table centerpieces or porch displays either alone or mixed with other pumpkins and winter squash. Lightly ribbed, flattened-round fruits are smooth, hard-shelled, very good keepers and weigh from 9 to 11 pounds. Maturity is about 95 days from garden emergence. Fruit diameter is 10-12 inches. Test growers have noted that Jamboree is very high yielding with excellent uniformity and they were inspired by the unique color. Vigorous vines set well and are supported by resistance to Cucumber Mosaic Virus and Papaya Ring Spot. Jamboree's appeal is boosted even more by it's table quality. This is an excellent vegetable-pumpkin that competes with top eating winter squash. The sweet orange flesh is the color of sweet potatoes with taste that compares to Buttercup squash. It is outstanding for baking and use in stews and soups. The fine-grained flesh also freezes well, and is perfect for pies.
