Keepsake is an outstanding variety that gives gardeners options they haven't previously had in a home garden tomato. Keepsake sets lots of fruit, and when picked "vine ripe" fruit will keep at room temperature for weeks. Keepsake fruit retain their good taste off the vine (under normal harvest conditions) without getting mushy. The fruit also keep well on the vine so it's perfect for gardeners who like to go on vacation. Even if this variety did not keep so well gardeners would love it for it's ability to set fruit. Keepsake yields a tremendous crop of 7 to 8 ounce fruit. The fruit are deep oblate and mature to a dark red in about 70 days. The plants are determinate so they won't take over the garden. The flesh is firm and sweet, and best of all patient- pick and eat it at your leisure!
